Senior Night

Last Friday was senior night for our five seniors; Keesh Brewer, Damon Burns, Lamont Murray, Myles Simmons and Khalil Williams. This year our senior night was against John Marshall. Varsity won big with a 73-29 win versus a sectional opponent. Next game will be versus Danville Tuesday February 9th. \ Go Achaeans!

Herron Makes History: Girls Basketball Wins Their First Sectional Game Ever

On Tuesday February 2, 2016 Herron’s girls basketball team made history. Not only did they win, but it was the first time ever the girls team won a sectionals game. Girls Basketball Wins First Ever City Tournament Game

On Saturday the Achaeans won their first ever city tournament game against T.C. Howe 57-51. Contributing to the strong play of the team was Cennie Scott with 19 points, Delaney Casson with 10 points, and Rylee Butcher with 9 points. Achaeans winning week in the pool

The Achaean swimmers splashed to success at 2 meets this week. Both the Girls and Boys teams won on Tuesday, besting Arsenal Tech, Broad Ripple and Scecina at Tech. Then on Thursday, the depth of the Girls team propelled them to a 2nd place finish, ahead of Warren Central but behind Roncalli, in a meet at Warren.

Track & Field Conditioning Begins!

It’s that time again and we’re really excited! The turnout for the callout meeting last Thursday showed record numbers. Conditioning starts January 19th at 4:30pm. We are meeting in the cafeteria, practice will be over by 5:45. Days will be Mon-Wed. until the actual season starts (Feb. 16). February 16th, practice moves to M-F, 4:30

Herron takes 5th for Boys and Girls at City Championship

Both the Girls and Boys teams placed 5th out of 9 teams at the 2015 City Championship. Junior Max Ryan put in stellar performances placing 2nd in a personal best of 58.79 in the 100 Fly and 2nd in a personal best of 57.51 in the 100 Back.
